We have extensive experience doing site selection studies helping clients evaluate one or more potential sites for farm, commercial, and industrial projects. These studies include three components:
- A consultation with the client to understand their holistic context, goals, budgets, and requirements,
- A site visit, and
- The completion of an analysis of the site.
We often combine these studies with economic development work including meetings with local economic development players if the project in question is large enough to qualify for an economic development incentive package.
The analysis includes an evaluation of the site, its infrastructure, its physical access, its utilities, and its ecological resources. If we are engaged to analyze multiple sites, the analysis will include comparisons, the advantages and disadvantages of each site, and a recommendation.
